Who was W Almond?

We are looking for information about the Union's founding members who met at 33 Clarendon Place, Hyde on the 18 February 1890 and established the United Carters Association.

They were W Almond, C Gibson, D F Wild, H Drake, J Hurton, W Lowe and J Greenhalgh. We are especially interested in finding out more about W Almond who was the Union's first General Secretary.
