Here is a letter received from the Department for Transport 

We are writing to remind you of the operational considerations that the introduction of the European Union’s (EU) Entry/ Exit System (EES) later this year will raise for UK-based transport operators who conduct services to and from the EU. This letter also provides information on a research survey that will be conducted on behalf of DfT in August-September 2025 on commercial journeys from the UK to the EU. We would welcome your participation in this study.

Background

The Downstream Fuel Distribution Forum (DFDF) provides a platform for the discussion and resolution of issues relating to health and safety as well as training in the downstream fuel distribution sector. Its remit includes facilitating the sharing of good practice and monitoring the transition to new fuels and powertrains, along with the implications of these for safety and training as the sector continues to evolve.
